Supporting communication, connection and collaboration across York’s high streets
We’re delighted to announce the launch of the York High Street Hub, a fresh, positive and collaborative platform created to support the people and places that make York’s high streets thrive.
The Hub builds on the work of the long-running York High Street Forum, which has connected traders and partners for many years. As the city’s needs evolve — and with increased collaboration between York BID, Make It York, Indie York, City of York Council, local street associations and community partners — we’re moving to a clearer, simpler and more flexible way of supporting communication.
The new York High Street Hub is not a membership organisation and doesn’t involve committees or formal meetings. Instead, our focus is on:
Clear, simple communication
Helping traders stay informed with relevant updates from key city-centre partners.
Connection
Providing space for traders to share issues, ideas and opportunities through monthly drop-in sessions.
Collaboration
Working alongside York BID, Make It York, Indie York, street associations and community-led projects to highlight good work happening across the city.
Monthly Trader Drop-In Surgeries
Starting January 2026, we’ll be holding relaxed drop-in sessions for traders on the second Tuesday of every month.
These informal sessions are a space to:
- share concerns
- raise issues
- ask questions
- make new connections
- and stay in touch with what’s happening across the city centre
No booking required — just pop in.
More details will follow in early January.
