The York High Street Forum proudly works with and supports organisations that share our commitment to a thriving, welcoming and resilient city centre.

We work closely with York BID, City of York Council’s Business & Economic Growth team, York Hospitality Association, Make It York, and Indie York, alongside local street and area associations. Together, we champion the businesses, people and places that make York’s high streets unique.

More partners will be added here as our network continues to grow.

Our partners play a key role in helping York’s high streets flourish. We’re proud to work alongside organisations and groups who care deeply about supporting independent traders, enhancing the city centre, and creating a vibrant place to live, work and visit.

Street & Area Associations

York’s high streets are stronger because of their local communities. We will be adding street and area associations here soon, acknowledging the vital role they play in representing traders, sharing insight and building neighbourhood identity.

Indie York

Indie York champions independent businesses across the city. We share a commitment to celebrating York’s unique character and supporting traders to thrive through collaboration, visibility and community networks.

York BID

Working to improve the environment and experience of York city centre, York BID delivers street enhancements, business support, safety initiatives, and events that attract footfall and investment. Their partnership helps us champion the needs of local traders and keep our high streets thriving year-round.

City of York Council – Business & Economic Growth

We collaborate with the Council’s Business & Economic Growth team to connect local businesses with guidance, data, and opportunities. Their insight and strategic support help ensure York’s high streets remain resilient in a changing economic landscape.

York Hospitality Association

The York Hospitality Association brings together cafés, restaurants, bars, hotels and venues to support a thriving, collaborative hospitality sector in the city. They champion industry voices and strengthen connections across York’s visitor and business community.

Make It York

Make It York promotes the city’s culture, events and tourism. Through shared aims around visibility, footfall and city vibrancy, we work together to support traders and highlight what makes York’s retail and hospitality offer so special.
